Playground is an internationally renowned gaming destination located a short 15-minute drive south of downtown Montreal, within the Mohawk territory of Kahnawake. We are currently expanding, unveiling new gaming floors, a luxurious hotel, and specialized dining options.

We are seeking an exceptionally mature, high-functioning, and technologically adept Checkpoint Operator. Positioned at the team member entrance, you are the first line of accountability for all individuals entering our facility, and you will serve a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of our establishment.

This role demands high emotional intelligence, acute situational awareness, and rock-solid dependability. You will balance a polite, professional demeanor with the unyielding assertiveness required to enforce security protocols, manage access control systems, monitor live surveillance, and issue credentials.

The ideal candidate will combine sharp attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and impeccable organization with a warm, welcoming demeanor for team members and visitors alike. This role centers on monitoring and managing checkpoint systems to prevent unauthorized access, creating and issuing team members' badges, upholding security protocols, and contributing to the well‑being of our facility and its team.

• Access Control & Verification:
  Manage the team members' entrance seamlessly. Authenticate and sign in external visitors, contractors, and performers, ensuring 100% compliance and proper documentation before granting entry.
• Credential Management:
  Create, issue, and meticulously log access cards for new employees, as well as track lost/forgotten badges with absolute accuracy.
• Proactive Surveillance:
  Actively monitor live video feeds and access control software to instantly detect unauthorized entry, unusual patterns, or potential security breaches.
• Incident Escalation:
  Maintain a cool head under pressure. Communicate live incidents with absolute clarity, speed, and precision to on-ground security personnel.
• Productive Autonomy:
  Efficiently utilize quiet periods to audit logs, organize workspace documentation, and maintain total readiness.

• High Emotional Intelligence (EQ):
  Ability to de-escalate tension and remain strictly professional, calm, and polite, even when dealing with difficult personalities.
• Uncompromising Common Sense:
  Exceptional situational awareness and the ability to make rapid, logical decisions in real-time without needing a script for every scenario.
• Maturity & Discretion:
  Absolute integrity when handling confidential data, staff logs, and security protocols.

• Proven Dependability: A flawless track record of punctuality and attendance.
• Relevant Background:
  Previous experience in management, live surveillance monitoring, or high-security access control is highly preferred.
• Tech Literacy:
  Strong proficiency in navigating surveillance software, access control systems, and maintaining digital logs.
• Sharp Communication:
  Excellent verbal and written English (French is an asset) to deliver concise, accurate incident reports under pressure.
