Position: Social Worker at Mino Obigiwasin
Location: Val-d'Or

Join Mino Obigiwasin Anicinape Child and Family Services as a Social Worker focused on youth protection. This full-time, temporary role supports at-risk youth and families in four Anicinape communities.

This position requires a bachelor’s or technical degree in social work or related fields. You will provide essential support and guidance, conduct psychosocial interventions, and develop intervention plans. Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, you will focus on creating safe environments and ensuring compliance with child protection measures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide follow-up care for children in natural environments

• Conduct psychosocial interventions for at-risk youth

• Develop intervention plans based on assessments

• Collaborate with community resources and extended families

• Maintain physical and electronic records with report writing

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field

• Experience in youth protection services

• Knowledge of First Nations communities preferred

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license

• Commitment to child protection and safety
