Position: Full-Time Support Counselor in Listuguj
Location: Quebec

The Listuguj Mi'gmaq Development Centre is hiring a full-time Support Counselor dedicated to aiding participants in employability and training programs. Collaborate with the counselling team to drive participant success.

In this role, you will be essential in providing individualized guidance to clients while helping them overcome educational and employment barriers. You'll support participants through engagement strategies, track their progress, and maintain comprehensive records. The position underscores the importance of partnership with local community resources and employers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support clients with individual guidance and resources

• Foster participant attendance in training programs

• Engage with schools and workplaces for integration

• Keep detailed, confidential records for each participant

• Create and manage reports and documentation as needed

Requirements:

• Knowledge of Mi'gmaq/First Nation community realities

• 2 to 3 years in case management or counseling

• Strong ability to motivate and build relationships

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

• Valid driver’s licence and travel readiness
