Position: Social Worker for Family Support Programs

Play a vital role at Mino Obigiwasin by serving as a Family Support and Liaison Social Worker, focusing on Anicinape community youth. This permanent position emphasizes cultural sensitivity and child welfare initiatives.

You will act as a key liaison for families and community members, guiding them through Mino Obigiwasin services. This role involves mediating conflicts, addressing service concerns, and providing valuable information regarding youth protection services. You will also promote collaboration and communication within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a resource for families and community stakeholders

• Mediate concerns between families and child services

• Share information regarding youth protection resources

• Participate in community awareness and education initiatives

• Support stability in children's placements and family dynamics

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field

• Familiarity with youth protection governance

• Mediation skills are advantageous

• Bilingual in French and English required

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
