Enhance your software development expertise at Ciena as an Embedded Software Development Co-op. Focus on coding, debugging, and delivery of innovative solutions for the Wavelogic Test Platform.

This co-op role is a unique opportunity to work with leading technologies in the Wave Logic Software Development team. You will be engaged in the full software development life cycle, showcasing your skills in C/C++, Python, and Linux. Contributing to high-speed connectivity solutions with multi-core embedded CPUs and SOCs will be central to your work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in full software development life cycle processes

• Support cross-platform software implementation

• Design, code, and troubleshoot applications in C/C++ and Python

• Debug system defects and enhance performance

• Collaborate with engineers for software release processes

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in Engineering or Computer Science Bachelor’s program

• Proficient in Embedded C and C++ programming

• Familiarity with Linux-based systems and device drivers

• Knowledge of Yocto containers is advantageous

• Passionate about software development
