Join Affirm as a Backend Software Engineer II and enhance ML systems in a remote setup. Your expertise in Python or Kotlin will help shape critical infrastructure for machine learning.
This role focuses on building and maintaining backend systems to support machine learning training and serving. With at least 1.5 years of experience, you'll work alongside a dedicated team, breaking down projects into manageable tasks, ensuring timely delivery, and collaborating across engineering teams. Your strong communication skills will help navigate technical constraints while improving developer velocity across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Break down projects into individual tasks for clear delivery
• Collaborate across teams to articulate technical constraints
• Monitor metrics to support operations and availability

• Actively participate in code reviews and feedback sessions
Requirements:
• 1.5+ years of software engineering experience
