The incumbent is responsible for supervision and must ensure the smooth running of ramp-related operations, while ensuring that they comply with Air Transat's high safety standards and requirements. As an ambassador of the Company, the supervisor will also promote and maintain a safety culture at all times.

• Supervise ramp work teams.
• Ensure compliance with Air Transat's airport policies and procedures regarding baggage handling, both for arrivals and departures.
• Perform station inspections in accordance with company programs, identify corrective measures and ensure their implementation.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to operational teams.
• Manage station delays, emergency events and irregular operations.
• Work closely with airport authorities and government agencies.
• Management of various ramp-related reports.

• College diploma or equivalent experience related to the field (an asset);
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the airline/aerospace industry as a ramp agent and/or ramp team lead.
• Must hold a class 5 driver's license.
• Hold a RAIC card as well as a DA ramp permit (an asset).
• 2 years of experience in employee management.
• Knowledge of Transport Canada regulations surrounding airlines as well as regulations of the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and US Customs and Border Protection (USCBP).
• Vast experience in ground operations and understanding of flight operations.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills as well as teamwork and leadership.
• Flexible and available to work different shifts according to operational needs (day, evening, night, weekend and holiday).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a RAIC card as well as hold a class 5 driver's license.
• Oral and written fluency in French and English*.

* A good command of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate frequently in English, orally and in writing, with colleagues, clients or other stakeholders, both in Quebec and internationally.
