Job Summary

At the heart of the chain, you will lead sorting operations, ensure safety, coach staff, manage workflow, oversee shipping and receiving, and maintain warehouse organisation.

Responsibilities

Health & Safety

Ensure compliance with Health & Safety protocols and maintain a hazard‑free work environment. Enforce safe working methods and behaviours within the team. Conduct safety audits and warehouse checks. Respond to emergencies and lead the unloading of the truck, ensuring team efficiency and enforcing safety measures.

Leadership & Team Support

Motivate and lead sorters; be their point of reference. Mentor and support package handlers during the sort process. Coach and mentor warehouse associates, including training new hires. Respond quickly to requests for changes and unforeseen events. Forward special cases to supervisors or managers and perform related tasks assigned by supervisors.

Operations & Workflow Management

Supervise sorting, scanning, and processing of packages, including defective items and returns. Set up sorting layout. Assist with sorting packages and envelopes. Assign labour and manage workforce deployment. Perform data entry as needed.

Shipping & Receiving

Unload trailers and verify freight against manifests. Unload and load pallets. Handle driver credentials, BOL exchange, and secure docking.

Warehouse Organisation

Ensure warehouse cleanliness and organisation. Perform other duties as assigned.
