CASE MANAGER - CHILD SAFETY SPECIALIST

Job LocationApache Junction office servicing surrounding cities including Mesa, Queen Creek, San Tan Valley, Gold Canyon, East Mesa, and Payson.
Posting DetailsSalary: 21.7068 (daily review, open until filled).
Responsibilities- Respond to reported allegations of child abuse and/or neglect
- Assess child safety and risk
- Conduct interviews and gather information
- Make in‑and‑out‑of‑home contacts with families and children
- Attend court hearings
- Prepare case plans and conduct case plan staffing
- Author professional reports and complete documentation
- Coordinate and monitor services
- Place children, transport children, and move a child’s possessions when needed
- Manage cases throughout the county and assigned area
- Use computer and the Department’s Child Welfare Software Programs
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education; must provide transcripts.
- Credential evaluation for degrees earned outside the United States.
- Four years of experience as a Department of Child Safety Case Aide.
- Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Valid driver’s license and requisite motor‑vehicle training; maintain acceptable driving record.
- Pass written exam, background investigation, Motor Vehicle Report check, and DCS Central Registry check.
- Completion of CPR certification at application.
Alternative work hours may be required, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Bi‑Lingual Stipend: $500 annually, paid in equal increments upon successful completion of a language proficiency exam.
Step Increases22‑week CORE training program at $22.59/hour, with increases for 1, 2, and 3 years of service.
