Job Summary: As an Equipment Engineer I of cylindrical batteries, the applicant will the breakdown of equipment, improve equipment for program and design to increase overall efficiency and productivity. This role requires manage equipment setup schedules, review and draft the causes and corrective actions for issues.

Report To: Equipment Sr. Manager

Responsibilities:

• Meetings and Management with Partners/Vendors.
• Equipment Investment and Schedule Management.
• Investment Execution Based on Company Processes.
• Monitor OEE and Line of Balance (LOB) after improvements are made.
• Install/modify/analyze/repair/test new tools/machines/equipment and technology to line (i.e. installation of production equipment such as winder, assembly, formation, etc.).
• Collaborate with related departments to improve process quality and conduct equipment modification and improvement activities.
• Manage plans for daily maintenance activities.
• Complete daily documentation and audits, as required by position.
• Maintain cleanliness at worksite in accordance with 5S3R Standards.
  • Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain.
  • Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container.
• Ensure work is completed in a safe manner and maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year in engineering equipment experience in production/plant environment.
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in engineering or related field required.
• Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for a period of up to 12 hours.
• Safety glasses.
• Must be able to perform the following over the course of up to 12 hours per day.
• Lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds on occasion.
• Sit and/or stand for lengthy periods.

Skills:

• Microsoft Office Suite.
• Production processes.
• Data analysis and processing.
• PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) experience
  * Preferred but not required.
• Six Sigma certification
  * Preferred but not required.
• DOE (Design of experiments)
  * Preferred but not required.
• CAD (Computer-aided design) and coding
  * Preferred but not required.
