Canyon State Academy is located on a scenic 180‑acre campus surrounded by a farm, student housing for 300+ youth, a thrift store, cafe, barbershop and church open to the community incorporating life skills for our students. Along with a fully equipped weight room, football stadium, and athletic center (gymnasium, padded wrestling room & more), Canyon State has it all!

Pay: $19.00 an hour

Medical, dental, vision and company paid life insurance within 90 days, and 401(k) match of up to 6% after 1 year of employment, paid time off that can be used as soon as it accrues and more!

The Medical Assistant works as a staff member of the Student Services team. Primarily responsible for serving as an assistant to the entire Student Health Services Department. Coordinates the flow of students to be seen by the health care professionals within programs and the scheduling of students to be seen by outside health care professionals. Depending on location, the Medical Assistant reports to the Medical Manager and/or Medical Coordinator.

• Documentation:
  Maintain accurate records of youth progress, behaviors, and incidents, ensuring compliance with program policies.

This role requires compassion, consistency, and a commitment to empowering youth to succeed.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Certification for Medical Assistant or Nurses Assistant required
• Successfully completed QMAP training
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen (we no longer test for THC), physical, and TB test
• Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry

PRN – This is for a Part‑Time Medical Assistant (Part time as needed). Shifts will be as needed.
