Job Summary:
This position will engage in production equipment maintenance, including troubleshooting, regular preventive maintenance (PM) and equipment modification, repair and parts replacements to ensure continuous manufacturing flow.
Responsibilities- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance of production equipment and controls to ensure operating condition.
- Communicate directly with production departments to coordinate preventive maintenance and any troubleshooting work in production.
- Prepare and manage periodic preventative maintenance schedules.
- Record/keep all documents related to preventive maintenance and troubleshooting work (including daily reports and check sheets).
- Analyze equipment log data in MES system for problem solving.
- Coordinate with outside vendors/sources to schedule maintenance for any complex issues.
- Train and guide new or other technicians.
- Maintain cleanliness at worksite in accordance with 5S3R Standards.
- Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain.
- Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container.
- Ensure work is completed in a safe manner and maintain a safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 15 years of maintenance experience in production/plant environment.
- Exposure to dry‑room environments with gowning and PPE requirement.
- High School Diploma/General Educational Development or higher degree required.
- Associate degree preferred or relevant work experience.
- Vocational certification (i.e., journeyperson) preferred but not required.
- Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experience preferred but not required.
- Technical mechanical and electrical knowledge and experience.
- Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for a period of up to 12 hours.
- Safety glasses.
- Steel‑toed shoes.
- Must be able to do the following repeatedly for a period of up to 12 hours.
- Lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
- Stoop, twist, bend.
- Reach overhead.
- Sit and/or stand.
- Understanding of production processes.
- Troubleshooting.
- Problem‑solving.
