Registered Nurse – Pre Op/PACU Full‑Time
Atlas Healthcare Partners is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care in the Pre‑Operation and Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Banner Surgery Center – Ironwood. The role is full‑time, hourly, and offers an exceptional work environment, competitive benefits, and a sign‑on bonus of up to $5,000.
Pay Range$32.70/hr – $45.56/hr
Position SummaryThis position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice. The RN is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others under their direction. The role requires specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to assess data and plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
EssentialFunctions
- Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and post‑operative planning needs; reviews patient history and physical; reviews diagnostics and laboratory data; reports abnormal results to the physician(s).
- Formulates a plan of care, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and patient, family, and health team input; initiates a plan of care based on patient‑specific needs; collaborates with the multidisciplinary team.
- Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of the health care team; provides care based on physician orders and the nursing plan of care, complying with policies, procedures, standards of care, and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluates the patient and family’s response to care and teaching; revises the plan of care as needed; evaluates patient progress towards goals and expected outcomes in collaboration with other health care team members.
- Documents assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record; documentation is legible, timely, and in accordance with policy.
- Participates in research activities within clinical practice; participates in facility shared leadership; mentors and precepts when appropriate.
- Contributes to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes through timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and safe care; participates in professional organizations.
- Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, and applicable professional standards.
- Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing, or higher, required.
- Current, valid RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
- BLS and ACLS required; PALS required within 90 days of start date if assigned ASC services pediatrics.
- Minimum one‑year licensed RN experience in Pre Op/PACU (i.e., ICU, ED).
- Licensed RN with no experience in Pre Op/PACU and enrolled in Perianesthesia Academy with successful completion within 4 months.
- New licensed RN enrolled in the Perianesthesia Academy with successful completion within 4 months.
- PRN:
Minimum two years licensed RN experience in Pre Op/PACU.
- Pre Op/PACU licensed RN experience strongly preferred.
