Patient Information Representative

Accuracy, Communication and Service Matter. Our Patient Information Representatives help keep hospital units running smoothly by ensuring patient information is accurate, communication is timely, and patients, families, and clinical teams receive the administrative support they need.
Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is seeking experienced clerical professionals with current or recent EPIC experience who are comfortable working in a busy hospital environment.
What You'll Do
- Use EPIC to accurately manage and maintain patient information
- Prepare and maintain charts for admissions, transfers, and other patient activity
- Coordinate communication between patients, families, clinical staff, and administrative teams
- Respond to questions and provide information regarding hospital services and procedures
- Handle sensitive information, inquiries, and concerns professionally and confidentially
- Provide clerical support in a fast-paced patient-care environment
Requirements
What We're Looking For High School Diploma or equivalent Current or recent hands-on EPIC experience required At least one year of secretarial or clerical experience Previous healthcare or hospital clerical experience preferred OR scheduling experience highly desirable Strong organization, communication, and customer-service skills Must be available to work evening or overnight shifts and every weekend
