Shift: 2nd Shift (must train on 1st shift for several months)

About the Role
We're seeking a skilled CNC Mill Operator / Machinist to support production of precision aerospace shafts, gear components, and assemblies. This role involves setting up and operating 3-axis and 4-axis CNC mills, verifying part quality, and maintaining machine performance in a high-precision environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot 3-axis and 4-axis CNC milling machines
- Read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings; select tooling, speeds, and feeds
- Perform first-piece inspections, document results, and adjust programs as required
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance (lubrication, tool changes, fixture cleaning)
- Monitor production quality, scrap rates, and escalate issues when necessary
- Follow AS9100/ISO 9001 quality standards and maintain a clean, safe work area
- Collaborate with process engineering to support continuous improvement efforts
- 3+ years of CNC milling experience in a precision or aerospace manufacturing environment preferred
- Proficient with precision tolerances, tooling, and measurement instruments
- Ability to train on 1st shift and transition to 2nd shift; available for overtime as needed
