Base Pay Range
$17.00/hr - $20.00/hr
Responsibilities- Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including required system start‑ups, cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day.
- Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested at cash registers.
- Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Model and share customer service best practices with all team members, including interpersonal habits such as greeting, eye contact, courtesy, and Walgreens service traits such as offering help proactively and servicing until satisfied.
- Hold store keys and open and close without management as necessary.
- Assist with and coach other team members on warehouse and vendor ordering processes, including opening the backdoor for vendor deliveries.
- Register all related sales on the assigned cash register, including scanning errors, price verifications, items not on file, price modifications, and voids.
- Assist the manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions and reverse logistics.
- Assist with evaluating and developing displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise, and complete resets and revisions.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and on‑hand quantities in all relevant locations.
- Ensure compliance with the Outdate program and state/local regulations regarding regulated products.
- Perform basic department pricing and make daily price changes while ensuring proper signage.
- Assist with bookkeeping activities such as cash reports, counts, ledgers, and bill payments.
- Maintain store appearance by ensuring cleanliness and requesting repairs as needed.
- Separate food items and perform stock rotation using first‑in, first‑out methods.
- Have working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Assist at the pharmacy outlet window as requested.
- Conduct bag checks of team members before leaving the store.
- Comply with all company policies and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
- Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the Manager.
- Serve as a liaison between management and non‑management team members by communicating assigned tasks when store management is absent.
- Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
- One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
- Fluent reading, writing, and speaking in English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Knowledge of store inventory control.
- Consideration of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
- Valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
