Part-Time Instructor for Adult Education

Job Description

Teach Adult Basic Education and GED preparation courses using instructional methods geared toward the adult learner in a classroom setting.

• Develop and implement curricula and lessons based on student learning needs at various skill levels in preparation for high school equivalency testing and/or enhancement of basic education skills.
• Assess student progress and adapt instruction to diverse adult learners.
• Provide support to help adult learners achieve their educational and career objectives.

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field required.
• An understanding of adult learning theories and the ability to adapt teaching methods to adult learners' individual needs.

• Classes meet Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9:00am - 12:00pm at Bella Ease and Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5:00pm - 8:00pm at the JWCC main campus.

• This position has an estimated hourly range of $25.00 - $26.00 per hour.
