Base Pay Range
$16.12/hr - $24.18/hr

Location: Quincy, IL

Schedule: Full‑time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (some variability based on departmental needs)

About the Role
As a Medical Assistant in the Vascular Surgery department at Quincy Medical Group, you will play a vital role in supporting providers and ensuring patients receive safe, efficient, and compassionate care. This position involves assisting with both clinical and administrative tasks, coordinating patient care, and helping procedures run smoothly within the clinic. You will work closely with a specialized team and contribute to positive patient outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Escort patients to exam rooms, prepare them for examinations or procedures, and accurately record vital signs and medical histories.
  • Assist providers with vascular assessments, wound care, minor procedures, and other in‑office treatments.
  • Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and medication refills for patients.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing patient calls and messages to ensure accurate communication.
  • Schedule diagnostic tests and procedures and communicate results or follow‑up instructions to patients.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper stocking of exam rooms and medical equipment.
  • Serve as a patient coach, providing education and support throughout their care journey.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • CPR certification required (available upon hire).
  • Medical Assistant certification preferred.
  • 1–2 years of clinical experience as a CNA, PCA, or MA preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to learn vascular surgery terminology, procedures, and patient care protocols.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work in a specialized, fast‑paced environment.
