Qualifications

We’re seeking a candidate with:

  • Degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline (preferred)
  • Minimum 3+ years of EHS management or coordinator experience (preferred)
  • Experience leading safety programs, training, inspections, and regulatory compliance
  • High proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook;
    SharePoint preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including policy and report writing
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and engage employees at all levels
Duties & Responsibilities 1. Safety Program Leadership
  • Review, update, and implement all site safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and Vantage EHS standards
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments; track corrective actions
  • Lead early‑intervention efforts for workplace injuries, ergonomics, and hazard mitigation
  • Chair the Site Safety Committee
  • Oversee PPE selection, implementation, and maintenance
  • Provide safety coaching and training to supervisors and employees, focusing on Line‑of‑Fire, Ergonomics, and Slip/Trip/Fall prevention
  • Lead quarterly Safety Week events and support company wide EHS initiatives
  • Manage industrial hygiene testing and annual hearing conservation program
2. Training & E‑Learning
  • Develop and maintain online EHS training modules with the Vantage EHS team
  • Ensure compliance with the Vantage Training Matrix and regulatory requirements
  • Support HR with new‑hire safety orientation and ongoing EHS training
  • Maintain accurate training documentation and compliance records
3. Environmental Compliance
  • Manage hazardous waste generation, storage, labeling, reporting, and disposal
  • Ensure compliance with air permits and emissions requirements
  • Oversee stormwater program inspections and reporting
  • Manage hazardous materials handling, secondary containment, and spill response
  • Maintain required environmental logs, documentation, and reports
4. Incident Management & Workers’ Compensation
  • Serve as primary contact for workplace injuries
  • Lead incident investigations and root‑cause analyses
  • Manage workers’ compensation claims in coordination with the EHS Director
  • Maintain OSHA 300 logs and associated documentation
5. Core Program Management

Responsible for leading and maintaining:

  • Lockout/Tagout
  • Forklift and Powered Industrial Truck programs
  • Hoist, Crane & Rigging safety
  • Hazard Communication & SDS management
  • PPE program
  • Hearing Conservation
  • Respiratory Protection
  • Contractor Safety
  • Hot Work
  • First Aid, Eyewash & Emergency Equipment
  • Fire Safety and extinguishers
  • Facility evacuation and emergency response
  • Ergonomic and job design evaluations
  • Paint booth safety and ventilation
6. Additional Responsibilities
  • Maintain safety equipment inventories (first aid kits, extinguishers, etc.)
  • Coordinate modified/light duty assignments with supervisors
  • Provide safety and liability guidance to Plant Manager and HR
  • Update and post Federal and State labor law postings
  • Support regulatory postings and ongoing documentation needs
  • Perform job observations and site inspections
