Branch Operations Manager I – Echo Electric

We are looking for an Operations Manager for our Quincy, IL branch. The role focuses on warehouse and administrative functions and the key financial measurements of the branch. The Operations Manager will evaluate and identify process improvements to enhance overall branch operation.
Compensation: Annual salary plus an incentive plan.
How You Will Contribute- Direct and coordinate warehouse and administrative functions to ensure efficient, high‑quality service.
- Participate in recruitment, interview, and selection processes.
- Develop staff through training and performance management.
- Manage inventory movement, auditing, cycle counts with the RF system, vendor returns, product displays, and promotional materials.
- Oversee debit memo processes and work with accounting to expedite past‑due payments, manage cash and credit transactions, approve customer credit, establish pricing contracts, and job queue management.
- Ensure timely response to calls, emails, and other communications.
- Maintain customer relationships, provide follow‑up and problem resolution.
- Assist with branch safety activities, facility security, building management, and accident reporting with HR guidance.
- Support other branches in securing orders with the sales team and managers.
- 5 years of experience in business, sales, or operations management with application of strategic planning, resource allocation, sales forecasting, and coordination of people and resources. Experience in electrical distribution is desired.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Sales and Marketing, or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- Strong customer and vendor relationship building and maintenance skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Leadership skills and ability to plan and schedule work for others.
- Time‑management and organizational skills, including handling multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in general computer applications, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Attention to detail and problem‑solving analysis.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds with or without accommodation.
- Passion for learning about electrical products and the distribution industry.
- Travel may be required on occasion.
