The Registered Nurse C3 acts as principal liaison between emergency services, surgical services, nursing, finance, physicians, utilization review, and medical records to ensure appropriate bed is assigned, patient care needs are met and treatment plans are executed in the appropriate level of the continuum. The Unit C3 will demonstrate technical and clinical competence, assist with patient care duties as needed, and serve as a clinical resource and role model for staff.
There is no direct patient care assignment for the Unit C3. The position will maintain current knowledge of basic health care economics, trends and reimbursement methodologies and apply that knowledge to daily practice. The role actively manages LOS for unit patients through partnership and collaboration with all members of the healthcare team. This role requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Missions of Blessing Health Systems.
ICARE standards must be demonstrated. Adherence to Code of Conduct and other policies is required.
Required qualifications include graduate of an RN School of Nursing, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a BSN obtained within 2 years of hire.

- Graduate of a Bachelor’s degree School of Nursing (BSN) or BSN obtained within two years of hire
Preferred
- A minimum of one year clinical experience with demonstrated competence in patient assessment and critical thinking.
- Previous experience with coordination of care and care management.
Special Requirements
- Possesses current State RN license
