Job Description:

FUNCTIONS:
Under the supervision of the Controller, the Staff Accountant will performs multiple duties related to Accounting functions within established deadlines:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare, record, and process accounts payable.

Prepare, record, and process accounts receivable.

Perform insurance billing and follow-up with insurance companies as needed.

Review open invoice reports; follow up with schedule of payments and/or adjustments.

Communicate with clinical department to obtain required data and follow up.

Maintain records, reports, and files in an organized manner.

Assist Controller with other accounting related tasks.

Perform other related duties as assigned within project guidelines.

Notate and schedule items communicated from the clinical department that may affect future billing, or need to revise past billings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

Minimum 3-5 years previous accounting work experience.

Good Knowledge of Quick Books Desktop Accounting Software.

Intermediate or Higher Excel skills-sets.

Must be highly detail oriented, organized, with good communication skills.
