Core Focus: Partnering across all Ahold Delhaize USA brands to optimize value, balancing cost and quality within Seasonal General Merchandise.
Flexible / Hybrid
Work Schedule:
3 in-person days at one of our core locations (Salisbury, NC; Quincy, MA; Carlisle, PA; Scarborough, ME; Hyattsville, MD) and 2 remote days.
- Perform responsibilities for complex categories/events, demonstrating advanced category understanding and independent decision making.
- Build subject‑matter expertise in assigned vendors and categories.
- Apply in‑depth analysis of key business levers (product costs, logistics costs, payment terms, assortment mix, competitive negotiation positioning) to identify growth, assortment optimization, and cost savings opportunities.
- Negotiate or advise on supplier costs, performance metrics, long‑range plans, and pursue supplier partnership opportunities.
- Negotiate business terms, new item cost negotiation, supply‑chain interaction, and logistical coordination.
- Develop data‑driven recommendations for optimal receipt quantities at the store level to support sales performance.
- Manage key project calendar and deliverables to meet in‑warehouse date expectations.
- Execute required legal documents adhering to legal requirements and standards (NDA, award letters, master supply agreement and schedules, discontinuance, and termination letters).
- Mentor and train new analysts in the sourcing process.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs and uphold company values.
- Primary interfaces will be Category Analysts/Category Managers.
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
- Authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis until the end of the appointment.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and work experience).
- 4+ years of related sourcing, negotiating, category, and/or vendor‑management experience (preferred).
- Enhanced knowledge of industry and suppliers.
- Proven ability to negotiate for positive outcomes.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to analyze complex data sets and develop insights.
- Strong presentation and communication skills; ability to tailor messaging to the audience and articulate recommended actions.
- Ability to work under strict deadlines, set and balance priorities.
- Ability to independently identify problems and propose solutions.
- Ability to influence others without authority.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
Power BI proficiency (preferred).
Salary Ranges:
- ME/NC/PA/SC: $92,640 – $138,960
- IL/MA/MD/NY: $106,480 – $159,720
Actual compensation offered may vary based on qualifications, experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions are made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
