Stop & Shop Summer Internship Program

Quincy, MA

Duration: 10 weeks

The Stop & Shop paid summer internship program offers undergraduate students (Freshman through Senior) the opportunity to work on meaningful, real‑world projects that make an impact. Stop & Shop's corporate support office provides an ideal environment to explore the complexities of the grocery industry. Interns gain valuable experience while developing leadership capabilities and business knowledge, with access to learning and development sessions, networking opportunities, and exposure to Stop & Shop's culture.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and be available from June 7, 2027, through August 13, 2027.

We have a hybrid work environment that requires a minimum of three days per week in the Quincy, MA Corporate Support Office (accessible by MBTA and Commuter Rail).

The Store Initiatives & Development Intern will support the team with project coordination and operational planning. This internship offers hands‑on experience in store operations, project management, and continuous improvement. The intern will also support project tracking, communications, and reporting. Some travel is required.

What You’ll Do:
  • Support the planning and coordination of store openings, remodels, closures, and operational initiatives.
  • Assist with project schedules, timelines, action items, meeting notes, and status updates.
  • Help organize and analyze data to support business decisions and measure project progress.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, dashboards, and project summaries for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Support the development of communication, training, and rollout materials for store teams.
  • Assist with tracking project risks, issues, deliverables, and follow‑up actions.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to help ensure projects remain on schedule and aligned with business goals.
  • Document current processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Support readiness and adoption activities as new processes, tools, or initiatives are introduced.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem‑solving discussions.
