Advanced Engineering Technician
Quincy, MA
Contract Position
Pay Estimated: $27.96-$32.96/Hour
Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission‑critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support prototype system development
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and diagrams to guide builds
- Construct, modify, troubleshoot, calibrate, and test electro‑mechanical tools, equipment, and systems
- Support the design and assembly of laser, light transmission devices, or specialized test equipment
- Conduct and document statistical experiments to define and refine process parameters
- Develop and document solutions for process improvement and implement corrective actions
- Design and build basic tooling and fixtures to support unique tasks
- Analyze and interpret data to recommend resolution and process optimization
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Associate’s degree in a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in an advanced technician or electro‑mechanical support role
- Proficiency with electrical and mechanical fabrication tools
- Demonstrated ability to fabricate complex hardware
- Strong skills in electrical/mechanical builds
, with a focus on electrical systems
- Experience supporting projects in the Undersea Domain
- Familiarity with prototype builds and experimental setups in defense or aerospace settings
