Why this role is important to us
The Private Market team is focused on providing administrative and analytical solutions to institutional investors in Private Equity and Real Estate. Our team tracks all communications from our clients’ General Partners, processes all cash movements, updates investment valuations, captures underlying portfolio company and property details, and provides online tools for performance and exposure reporting.
What you will be responsible forAs Alternatives Admin Services, Vice President you will:
- Review and assist staff with private equity transactions and assist in resolving private equity transactions related queries, audits and other ad hoc financial reports as required.
- Oversee the review, validation, approval and monitoring of the process workflow
- Account for daily management of functional team(s) and manage daily service delivery and production activities performed by staff
- Oversee offshore teams, performance tracking , participation in monthly/quarterly calls, transitioning new funds/business to offshore teams
- Oversee the processing and management of expense and transaction payments for client investments.
- Primary contact and key escalation point for critical operational issues, as well as technical expert to resolve daily problems
- Manage and elevate issues related to Business Unit Shared Services and COEs
- Manage conversions of new business, plan for and review client specific agreements and internal policies
- Ensure appropriate records of daily and monthly activities are complete and maintained
- Identify and implement consistent operational best practices
- Document and review procedures, recommend controls and risk strategies
- Coordinate the implementation of new funds, systems and processes, assist with client conversions and other client projects
- Develop and implement process improvements, effectively manage change to ensure departmental objectives are met
- Promote a risk awareness culture in staff
- Provide coaching and development opportunities to staff
- Ensure self and team anticipates, monitors, actively manages and reports all risk and compliance issues, breaches and suspicious activities
- Act in accordance with Risk Excellence and role model Ethical behavior and decision making as part of our Way Ahead foundation
- Perform other duties as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Competent to Expert with a Bachelor’s degree, prefer finance, accounting, economics or business management major
- 6-8 years of related experience in transfer agency, private equity fund of funds or private equity fund accounting.
- Have experience in processing /managing expense and transaction payments for client investments
- Proficient in email management
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, which includes excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Excellent time management and presentation skills (communication to multiple levels (clients, other 3rd parties, executives, peers, subordinates). Flexibility across multiple formats (one on one, town hall, virtual meetings, social, etc)
- Navigate a large, global organization. Build meaningful relationships and develop an effective network
- Ability to communicate with various internal teams to resolve inquiries and understanding when to elevate
- Candidates must demonstrate initiative, be able to perform well under pressure, and simultaneously handle multiple assignments
- Excellent administrative and organizational with the proven ability to multi-task and to work efficiently to meet client deliverables
$115,000 - $201,250 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
