3 in‑person days at Salisbury, NC;

Ahold Delhaize USA, a division of global food retailer Ahold Delhaize, supports five leading omnichannel grocery brands. The Senior Platform Engineering Manager will develop, implement, and deliver enhancements to core data platforms and support the data & analytics ecosystem, collaborating closely with Platform Owners, business leaders, technology teams, and external vendors.

• Help define strategic vision for key functionalities within ADUSA data platforms.
• Become a subject‑matter expert in the data platform’s current and future architecture guidance, "Data Lakehouse," to support customer-centric data domains.
• Help improve platform standards, guidelines, and recipes by working closely with architecture, engineering, and platform owners.
• Partner with architecture on design, testing, and delivery of critical functionality to enhance user experience, support business adoption, and meet internal/external mandates.
• Leverage executive presence skills to influence senior business stakeholders and program leadership on roadmap prioritization decisions.
• Provide oversight and hold team members accountable for compliance with Change Management and IT Security policies.
• Lead a lean Dev Ops engineering team in an agile environment to deliver cutting‑edge PaaS, IaaS, and IaC solutions for the customer base.
• Lead an operations team of platform support engineers that provide 24/7 support to all data platforms to keep the lights on for business use.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of relevant technology experience.
• 5+ years in an advanced role or technical capacity, leading teams directly or indirectly.
• 5+ years managing an agile engineering team.

• Post‑graduate degree or advanced training and/or certifications in a relevant field.
• 5+ years experience in Databricks, Azure, Mongo
  
  DB, and Power BI.
• 5+ years experience leading teams or advancing technical capability.
• 5+ years experience in Dev Ops, automation, CI/CD, Terraform, Power Shell, and/or YAML.
• 5–10 years in Git Hub and Data Dog.

Salary Range: $151,200 – $226,800 (actual compensation varies based on qualifications, internal equity, and market conditions).
