The Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Analyst will join the cybersecurity team to safeguard sensitive information and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
This role involves collaborating with business units to define DLP strategies, implementing and validating policies, and maintaining robust data protection measures.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with excellent communication and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with business units to gather DLP requirements and translate them into actionable rules and controls.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for DLP, advising on best practices and policy design.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Validate and test updates to DLP policies and rulesets for accuracy and effectiveness.
- Support monitoring functions in interpreting DLP alerts and collaborate with Incident Response teams.
- Maintain and enhance DLP tools and configurations in alignment with corporate security standards.
- Continuously evaluate and tune DLP rules for improved performance.
- Stay informed on emerging threats and regulatory changes impacting data protection.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5–9 years of experience in information security, governance, IT audit, or risk management.
- Proven experience in financial services or similarly regulated environments.
- Strong communication and presentation skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
- Technical expertise in interpreting and modifying DLP policies and rule logic.
- Hands‑on experience with Netskope and Microsoft Purview.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CRISC, CISM, or CISA.
- Familiarity with SIEM platforms and other information protection technologies.
- Knowledge of privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, GLBA) and their impact on DLP strategies.
