We are seeking an Assistant Vice President who will report directly to the Vice President. We are looking for a skilled Software Technical Lead with demonstrated leadership abilities and excellent communication skills. Candidates should possess substantial technical expertise in Payments and a comprehensive understanding of development and configuration management processes. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead a team through all phases of the Application development and testing lifecycle, collaborating effectively with development, business, and other application teams.

As part of Global Payments technology delivery team, you will be responsible for solution design, product configuration, integration, migration and development of all payment-related application functions within the bank, supporting payment processing across various clearing markets worldwide. You will join Global Payments Technology, a team essential to the company’s leadership in Custodial services and Payments Technology.
Responsibilities- Design payment solutions.
- Lead configuration and development of changes to meet business requirements, delivering software changes on time.
- Collaborate with lines of business units, vendor partners, and cross‑bank technical teams to manage technical implementation complexities.
- Conduct workshops with the team to explain designs and use cases.
- Participate in release management, ensuring the final solution meets end‑user requirements.
- Work under tight deadlines and pressure to meet industry‑wide and organizational deadlines.
- Experience in financial and banking applications.
- Knowledge of various payment types (Domestic Fund Transfer, CHIPS/FED, Cross‑Border SWIFT, Instant/Faster Payments, RTGS, SEPA).
- Experience in payment design, configuration, and integration.
- Knowledge of SWIFT message types (MT103, MT202, MT202CO
V, MT910, MT900, MT192, MT210, MT292). - Knowledge of ISO messages (PACS, PAIN).
- Ability to implement configuration parameters, customization changes, and patches.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Desire to work in a payment domain.
- Ability to conduct technical analysis for projects that support key business initiatives and to upgrade existing strategic applications/systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 10+ years of experience.
- Experience with Unix/Linux/Windows Server.
- Experience with JBoss/Web Sphere/Tomcat or similar application servers.
- Experience with MQ or Kafka is valued.
- Knowledge of high‑level programming languages:
Java, Shell, Perl, Python, SQL. - Ability to work independently on tasks.
- Analytical and detail‑oriented when dealing with technical support issues and IT projects.
- Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
- Location:
Quincy, MA – John Adams Building. - 40 hours – Standard Work Shift.
$90,000 - $157,500 Annual. The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of the primary location, the applicable range could differ.
