Business Analyst (IT) – Advanced

Quincy, Massachusetts – Long‑term contract (Full‑time)

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our team in Quincy on a long‑term contract basis. The role requires a proactive individual who can analyze business needs, recommend solutions, and contribute to the development and improvement of processes, leveraging technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and industry best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to gather and define business and system requirements.
  • Develop detailed use cases and documentation to support system improvements.
  • Conduct research and resolve issues to ensure business needs are effectively addressed.
  • Analyze existing business processes and recommend enhancements for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate on project planning and management, including maintaining issue logs and preparing comprehensive documentation.
  • Provide technical and business insights to clients to drive informed decision‑making.
  • Stay updated on technological advancements and industry standards to integrate best practices.
  • Conduct benchmarking studies and analyze competitive trends to support strategic initiatives.
  • Support the development cycle by contributing to analysis, testing, and quality assurance phases.
  • Code and maintain business application programs based on user instructions and functional specifications.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3–6 years of experience in business analysis and related fields.
  • Proficiency in documentation, research, and analytical techniques.
  • Strong ability to plan and optimize processes while maintaining accurate logs.
  • Experience with use‑case development and project documentation.
  • Knowledge of system requirements and functional specifications.
  • Familiarity with testing phases and quality assurance processes in development cycles.
  • Excellent communication skills to facilitate user interviews and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Ability to stay informed about technological advancements and industry practices.
