Primary responsibilities include investigating Workers' Compensation claims to determine compensability, managing the entire claim lifecycle while meeting service level targets and claim goals. Serve as the primary interface to associates, attorneys, healthcare providers, vendor partners and brand partners.
Work ScheduleFlexible/hybrid: 1 in‑person day at a core location and 4 remote days.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a WC caseload within established targets, ensuring thorough investigations and compliance with all statutory and legal obligations.
- Monitor and ensure timely execution of statutory deadlines or legal filings.
- Analyze loss facts to develop strategies that optimize outcomes and mitigate total cost of risk.
- Identify fraud indicators and pursue subrogation opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Safety department to identify hazards and recommend risk mitigation.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage a book of claims business (up to $1 million WC) with authority to settle or negotiate claims up to $50 000.
- Communicate ongoing causes of WC injuries to Safety and Brands.
- Act as the primary point of contact for claim issues, providing timely communication via phone, email, and online applications.
- Licensed adjuster or ability to obtain license (as appropriate by jurisdiction).
- Bachelor's degree or 2 years WC claims experience.
- Thorough knowledge of workers' compensation rules, statutes, and procedures.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to complex claims.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Preferred experience with NC and VA.
- Relationship building and excellent written and verbal communication.
- Highly self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, capable of working under pressure.
- Customer‑focused with solid understanding of WC legal procedures.
- Problem‑solving ability and critical thinking.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
ME/NC/PA/SC: $26.54 – $39.81 per hour
IL/MA/MD/NY: $30.54 – $45.81 per hour
