Job Description

Seeking attorney with 0 – 3 years of experience to join a dynamic and growing condominium and real estate law firm in Quincy, MA.

The Attorney will join the firm and have the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys, who will provide guidance and mentorship. The Attorney will also have direct contact with clients.

The initial primary responsibilities of this Attorney will be the representation of condominium associations/HOAs and addressing non-compliance with the association’s governing documents, with a focus on non-payment of condominium fees. Initially, this position is a semi-litigation position requiring the Attorney to prepare pre-suit notices, prepare court pleadings, and appear in court on various hearings/motions in contested and uncontested matters. Over time this position may shift into full litigation or to non-litigation representation of condominiums associations depending on the attorney’s preferences and strengths.

Duties
  • Assist in the representation of condominium associations and homeowners' associations in various legal matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
  • Draft and file pleadings / motions and attend court hearings regarding same.
  • Draft other legal documents including notices, demand letters, and agreements.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on a wide range of matter, and participate in client meetings.
  • Perform searches in the Registry of Deeds to address title issues.
  • Collaborate with serious attorneys on legal issued and develop legal strategies for the client.
  • Assist senior attorneys in case preparation and strategy.
Qualifications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Previous experience in condominium law or real estate matters is a plus but not required.
  • MA Bar required, NH Bar is a plus.
