About the Community

Highlands at Faxon Woods is a 196-unit well-appointed community located in Quincy, MA. Residents enjoy many amenities, including free shuttle services to and from Quincy Center, a state-of-the‑art fitness center, library, and clubhouse.

About the Role

Northland is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support the Community Manager with day‑to‑day operations. The Assistant Manager monitors and enforces compliance with all company policies, assists with supervising leasing and maintenance staff in the manager’s absence, and oversees rent collection and delinquency. In collaboration with the Community Manager, the Assistant Manager will also manage profitability, cost control, and the operating budget.

The role requires proactive management of any concerns escalated to management to provide the best living experience for residents.

Responsibilities

The Assistant Manager will:

  • Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Supervise leasing and maintenance staff in the absence of the manager.
  • Oversee rent collection and delinquency processes.
  • Manage profitability and cost control, maintaining the operating budget.
  • Proactively manage any concerns escalated to management.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • At least two years of experience in a sales or customer‑facing role is required; hospitality or property management experience is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and vendors.
  • Weekend shifts may be required for this role and will be discussed in the interview process.
  • Travel may be required to assist other properties or attend training classes.
  • May be required to operate a golf cart to travel around the property.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods, climb, bend, and squat.
  • Must be able to occasionally push, pull, lift, and carry weights up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions.
