We are seeking a skilled Permanent Pipe Welder (TIG) to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding carbon steel and TIG root with a minimum of 5 years of pipe welding experience. This role is perfect for a technically proficient individual who is passionate about precision, quality, and safety.
Company OverviewOur client is a leading chemical manufacturer located just south of Boston, MA. They supply high-quality, sustainable fatty acids and glycerin to the North American market, offering over 80 products and advanced manufacturing processes such as hydrolysis, distillation, and hydrogenation.
Base Pay Range$27.00/hr — $42.00/hr

- Perform TIG welding operations on carbon steel pipes according to specified procedures and standards.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements and set up equipment.
- Conduct inspections of welded surfaces and structures to identify flaws and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain and repair all welding equipment and fixtures.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of protective equipment.
- Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve welding issues.
- Ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently to minimize waste and downtime.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to keep current knowledge in the field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in TIG welding, specifically with carbon steel and TIG root.
- Proven track record of interpreting and following blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency in using manual or semi‑automatic welding equipment.
- Strong knowledge of safety standards and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot welding issues.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy items.
- Valid welding certification is a significant advantage.
