Stop & Shop Summer Internship Program

Quincy, MA

Duration: 10 weeks

The Stop & Shop paid summer internship program offers undergraduate students (Freshman through Senior) the opportunity to work on meaningful, real-world projects that make an impact. Stop & Shop's corporate support office provides an ideal environment to explore the complexities of the grocery industry. Interns gain valuable experience while developing leadership capabilities and business knowledge, with access to learning and development sessions, networking opportunities, and exposure to Stop & Shop's culture.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and be available from June 7, 2027, through August 13, 2027.

We have a hybrid work environment that requires a minimum of three days per week in the Quincy, MA Corporate Support Office (accessible by MBTA and Commuter Rail).

The Marketing Intern will play a key role in supporting the local marketing team by assisting with community-based initiatives, event execution, and market-level promotional activities. This role is ideal for a motivated, hands‑on individual who enjoys engaging with customers and representing the brand in local communities.

The intern will be expected to travel to various events across our operating footprint and must have reliable personal transportation. Through this experience, the intern will gain valuable exposure to field marketing, event coordination, and cross‑functional collaboration in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment. Some travel required.

What You’ll Do:
  • Support the marketing team across a variety of projects, stepping in wherever help is needed in a fast‑paced environment
  • Assist with planning and execution of marketing initiatives, events, and promotions including our branded community mobile truck
  • Draft clear recaps, summaries, and follow‑up communications for internal teams and external partners
  • Help manage marketing materials and inventory, ensuring resources are organized and available
  • Assist with on‑site support and troubleshoot minor issues during events or marketing activations
  • Take meeting notes and track action items, supporting timely follow‑up and execution
  • Create and update presentations and basic reports using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Collaborate with our social media on Content creation
  • Support marketing initiatives using our branded mobile truck
  • Collaborate with our Social Media team on content creation
  • Create a final presentation highlighting internship learnings and process improvement recommendations
