Nature and Scope

Plumas District Hospital is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Operating Room / Perioperative team
. The RN will play a key role in providing patient-centered care throughout all phases of surgery—pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative.

This position includes both circulating and scrub responsibilities
, assisting surgeons and anesthesia providers, preparing and maintaining the sterile field, supporting patient recovery, and ensuring safe, efficient surgical care.

Location

We are located at 1065 Bucks Lake Road, Quincy, CA 95971.

Compensation
  • Hourly Rate: $48.11 – $68.59 (based on clinical pay scale)
  • Sign-On Bonus: $7,500
  • Housing Stipend: Paid housing or $1,500/month stipend for first 3 months
Job Status/Shift Information
  • Full-time, benefited position
  • Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shifts
  • On-call required
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred)
  • Active California RN License
  • Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • Strong knowledge of perioperative standards and sterile technique

Preferred Experience:

  • 1+ year of operating room / surgical nursing experience
  • Experience in circulating and/or scrubbing roles
  • Background in acute care or outpatient surgery centers

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of the nursing process and perioperative protocols
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to recognize patient or equipment safety hazards
  • Self-directed, detail-oriented, and adaptable
  • Commitment to high- quality, compassionate patient care
  • Proficient in charting and clinical software systems
