The Tavern at Granite Links is full‑service restaurant, bar, and event space serving members, guests, and tournament play featured on a premier golf course. Our culinary program supports daily dining, banquets, weddings, and special events, with a focus on quality, consistency, and exceptional service.

We are seeking an experienced, dependable Sous Chef to work alongside our Executive Chef and Executive Sous to support kitchen operations across our golf course restaurant and event venues. This role is hands‑on and leadership‑focused, ideal for a chef who thrives in a structured, high‑volume environment while maintaining high culinary standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations
  • Lead kitchen staff during service, banquets, and tournament events
  • Ensure consistent food quality, portioning, and presentation
  • Supervise prep, line execution, and plating during service
  • Support banquet and event execution (golf outings, weddings, member events)
  • Train, mentor, and schedule kitchen staff
  • Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
  • Assist with inventory, ordering, and food cost control
  • Step in to manage the kitchen in the Chef’s absence
Qualifications
  • 3–5+ years of professional kitchen experience, including leadership roles
  • Prior Sous Chef experience preferred (or strong lead cook ready to advance)
  • Experience with high-volume service, banquets, or club dining strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills
  • Ability to lead calmly in fast‑paced, event‑driven environments
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (Serv Safe preferred)
  • Reliable, professional, and team-oriented attitude
