Customer Service Rep, Cashier
Overview
Position:
Cashier at The Home Depot. Cashiers provide fast, friendly, accurate and safe service by processing Checkout and Returns transactions, and by monitoring the Self-Checkout area. They proactively seek product knowledge to assist customers and identify selling opportunities. They follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink. A Head Cashier may support Cashiers by expediting price checks, approving Point of Sale transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental.
They provide first-level escalation for customer issues and assist in supervision, coaching and training of Front End Associates by participating in training of new Cashiers and using available tools to coach and develop others. The preferred qualification for a Head Cashier is 1+ years of Cashier experience.
