Mon-Fri; 6am-2:30pm (with occasional OT available)
- Working under the direction and supervision of others, perform routine inspection, preventative maintenance, and repair on operating systems including fire suppression systems, comfort heating/cooling HVAC, process HVAC, steam systems, plumbing systems, buildings, and grounds.
- On call response to plant fire alarms and other emergencies related to facilities systems.
- Perform fire suppression systems inspections and tests; document results and coordinate repairs as needed.
- Read work orders, blueprint drawings, or P&'s to understand the issue and determine required repairs.
- Maintain activities related to maintenance, inspection, repairs, and documentation of multiple plant facilities systems to support safe and efficient operation of the plant.
- Adhere to Plant, local, and regional policies, procedures, and regulations, in accordance with industry best practices.
- Be skilled and/or have experience in comfort HVAC, industrial HVAC, steam systems, plumbing, electrical, masonry, and structural disciplines.
- Performs and supports snow removal operations, salting, shoveling, plowing, and availability during all snow events.
- Complete data entry into the work order system as required.
- Commitment to annual Plant shutdown activities requiring consecutive days of work with extended hours.
- Maintain knowledge of established practices, procedures, programs, and codes, and perform work accordingly.
- Prepare and maintain related reports, logs, records, and historical data as assigned.
- Recommends changes to maintenance methods, procedures, predictive maintenance, and applications to improve plant activities; may provide direction to other Services technicians or craft.
- Assist in maintaining necessary tools, equipment, and spare parts related to the maintenance of Plant Facilities and systems.
- High school graduate/GED
- Minimum of 1+ year of experience in the industrial or manufacturing industry
- Working knowledge of Fire Suppression Systems (Dry, Wet, Deluge) is a plus
- Forklift License required, or ability to obtain
- Valid Driver's License required
- Working knowledge of HVAC heating/cooling systems, troubleshooting, inspection, and repairs
- Working knowledge of plumbing system troubleshooting, inspection, and repairs
- Working knowledge of carpentry and structural repairs
- Ability and proficiency in using hand tools, power and shop tools, torque wrenches, torches, etc.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and may involve confined spaces
- Post-secondary certificate in HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry, Masonry is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, including design, use, repair, and maintenance; bridge port/lathe experience a plus
