Software Engineer Co-op – Fall 2026

Ahold Delhaize USA, a division of global retailer Ahold Delhaize, operates five leading omnichannel grocery brands including Food Lion, Giant Food, The GIANT Company, Hannaford, and Stop & Shop. Our associates support these brands with Finance, Legal, Sustainability, Commercial, Digital & e‑commerce, and Technology services.

This paid co‑op experience provides hands‑on development of merchandising and assortment tools, modernizing existing .NET applications and advancing technical and leadership skills. It includes competitive pay, mentorship, and opportunities to present projects to senior company leaders.

• Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program.
• Authorized to work in the United States full‑time and available from July 13 2026 through December 4 2026.
• Hybrid work environment requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.
• Approximate 6‑month program.

As a co‑op on our squad, you will develop merchandising applications and data‑driven reporting solutions. You will work with JavaScript and help modernize existing .NET applications, contributing to impactful projects that enhance business operations.

• Working toward a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Passion for technology and solving business problems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular).
• Experience with Spring Boot.
• Understanding of .NET development technologies (, C#).
• Familiarity with the Agile development cycle.
• Knowledge of Azure cloud environment.
• Understanding of interactive design and usability.
• Team player who thrives in dynamic environments.
• Knowledge of GIT, database design, LINQ, XML is a plus.
• Experience with Active Directory is a plus.

• Salary range (July 13 – December 4 2026):
• ME/NC/PA/SC: $20.90–$35.70 per hour
• IL/MA/MD: $22.80–$37.30 per hour
