Senior Electrical EngineerOur client is a global leader in advanced climate and performance technologies, driving sustainability and efficiency in critical infrastructure. They are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their Data Center Engineering team. In this role, you’ll design and refine electrical systems for cutting‑edge cooling equipment that supports the growing demand for high‑performance data centers.
You’ll lead the development of electrical designs, mentor design teams, and ensure compliance with global standards while collaborating across regions (Americas, EMEA, and Asia). This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on next‑generation cooling solutions that improve efficiency, safety, and reliability.
Responsibilities- Designing proprietary electrical systems for data center cooling products
, including wiring schematics, panel layouts, and documentation. - Coordinating prototype panel builds and wiring activities with internal teams and external partners.
- Creating structured, configurable BOMs to ensure accurate selection and placement of electrical and control components.
- Driving compliance with NEC, UL, IEC, and CE standards in all system designs.
- Leading and guiding design teams on controls and electrical design best practices.
- Supporting product enhancements, troubleshooting, and safety‑related improvements.
- Applying expertise in AC drives, power distribution, switch gear, sensors, and transducers.
- Managing project schedules, sourcing components, preparing manuals, and maintaining design records.
- Staying ahead of industry innovations and integrating new technologies into system design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) with 5–10 years of engineering experience
. - A Master’s degree in engineering or business may substitute for some experience.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical codes
: NEC, UL (UL1995, UL60335, UL508A), IEC, and CE. - Experience with UL508A panel builds and ability to obtain/maintain UL508A MTR Certification
. - Hands‑on experience with AutoCAD Electrical or similar design tools.
- Familiarity with PLC controllers, RS‑232/RS‑485, and Modbus Protocol is preferred.
- Prior experience in data center cooling systems or related industrial equipment is a plus.
- Skilled in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation.
- Willingness to travel (15–20%) to suppliers, project sites, or regional facilities.
