The Financial Reporting Manager ensures the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of our external and internal financial reporting. This role reports directly to the Corporate Controller and is based at our Racine, Wisconsin headquarters.
The position manages all aspects of financial and SEC reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Oversees technical accounting research related to new and proposed accounting standards and has responsibility for complex, non‑routine accounting issues. Assists with and supports the maintenance and review of internal controls and corporate policies and procedures. Serves as the One Stream consolidation system subject‑matter expert and is responsible for managing design and implementation of non‑routine changes.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepares SEC periodic reports such as Forms 8‑K, 10‑Q and 10‑K and coordinates the internal and external review of the documents. Manages the process for XBRL tagging and ensures consistency across financial statements and disclosures. Assists in the preparation of other SEC filings such as Proxy, Form 4s and Form SD on Conflict Minerals.
- Coordinates with internal and external legal counsel, investor relations, and external auditors to ensure timely and accurate filings in compliance with SEC regulations.
- Oversees the monthly close and consolidation process ensuring all standard eliminations and foreign‑currency translations are recorded.
- Acts as One Stream consolidation system administrator. Provides leadership and technical assistance to users related to metadata, security, processing and reporting. Collaborates with external partners to identify and implement system design improvements.
- Coordinates and partners with internal audit and external auditors to support testing and remediation efforts.
- Owns and enhances internal controls over financial reporting to comply with SOX (Sarbanes‑Oxley Act).
- Leads financial research efforts. Maintains up‑to‑date knowledge of US GAAP. Monitors and ensures timely identification and compliance with evolving accounting guidance. Analyzes and interprets new and proposed accounting, reporting and disclosure standards issued by the SEC and FASB and assesses their impact on the company.
- Prepares technical accounting memorandums that document issues and identify the company’s position and impact in a clear, logical, and comprehensive manner.
- Manages accounting for complex, non‑routine transactions and provides guidance to the accounting team. Supports merger and acquisitions activity including due diligence and the preparation of purchase accounting.
- Develops, implements, and maintains corporate accounting and reporting policies and procedures. Ensures consistent application of accounting principles across the organization.
- Oversees corporate financial planning and analysis processes and annual budget consolidation.
- Collaborates cross‑functionally with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Internal Audit and Corporate functional Centers of Excellence.
- Manages and/or participates in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives within the finance organization as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Manages, controls, and recommends budgets within approved guidelines.
- Develops and revises departmental policies, procedures and guidelines to meet business needs.
- In partnership with human resources, performs human resources responsibilities for staff which includes hiring and terminating employees, promotions/pay adjustments, staff development, performance evaluations and resolution of employee concerns.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
