What You Will ContributeWe are seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to pioneer HR support at our expanding production site in Racine. As the first HRBP on-site, you shape the employee experience from the ground up and scale support as the site grows.
Job Duties- Provide coaching and guidance on performance management, employee development, engagement, and retention.
- Assist supervisors with onboarding, retention, and workforce planning, including job descriptions.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to hire qualified candidates that fit Badger Meter’s culture.
- Manage organizational changes within Workday: job creation, structure changes, and employee status changes.
- Support goal setting and performance reviews aligned with department goals and Badger Meter values.
- Partner with Talent Development and Total Rewards to align learning, development, compensation, and benefits.
- Conduct new hire check‑ins, exit interviews, and other actions to continuously improve the employee experience.
- Provide support on basic employee relations questions and inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct investigations and recommend actions to resolve employment‐related matters in line with policies, practices, and legal requirements.
- Participate in and manage HR projects that progress the organization and support departments.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, communications, psychology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in multiple HR disciplines, including employee relations and federal/state employment laws.
- SPHR/SHRM‑SCP certification preferred.
- PHR/SHRM‑CP certification preferred.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
- Basic ability to extract and analyze data to influence decisions.
- Basic experience with Workday preferred.
