Test Technician I Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Test Operations Manager, the Test Technician I will perform assigned tests primarily in support of the engineering department. Tests include executing defined procedures on dynamo meters and sub‑system test stands to gather valuable data for the development of the Delta Hawk Engine. The Test Technician I will also assist technicians and more experienced operators in the setup and installation of engines and components on the dynamo meters and sub‑system test stands.
These duties will play a critical role in supporting the R&D, certification, and preparations for production of Delta Hawk engines and the Test Technician I must be able to support second‑shift testing when required to meet critical schedule milestones.
- Read, understand and accurately execute defined test procedures and plans for engines and engine subsystems.
- Ensure required parameters are acquired by the data acquisition system and stored on the Delta Hawk network.
- Comprehend and communicate technical details effectively in verbal and written form.
- Perform general maintenance and organization tasks when testing is not in progress.
- Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to best safety practices.
- Possess a strong passion for learning and an exceptional work ethic.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent situational awareness.
- Ability to follow safety procedures consistent with general mechanical shop and industrial test cell environments.
- Ability to effectively integrate and work as a team member.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of computer usage and standard computer programs Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
- Must be able to work second‑shift hours when extended testing is in progress.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to lift, hold, and position weights up to 45 lbs occasionally.
- Must have a current and valid driver's license.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Strong resource management skills.
- Experience in aeronautical operations (pilot, mechanic, airport ground operations, etc.).
- Industrial testing experience.
- Strong organizational skills.
Work will be conducted in typical mechanical shop and industrial test cell environments.

Salary: $58,942.00 – $65,876.00
