Job Overview
Inbound Ecommerce Associate at Goodwill Industries of Southeast Wisconsin, Inc. Join our mission‑driven team to prepare, list, and ship donated items online.
ScheduleRotating two‑week schedule.
- Front Half –
Week One
:
Sunday – Wednesday, 7am – 5:30pm;
Week Two
:
Sunday – Tuesday, 7am – 5:30pm - Back Half –
Week One
:
Thursday – Saturday, 7am – 5:30pm;
Week Two
:
Wednesday – Saturday, 7am – 5:30pm
Independent and teamwork. Tasks include preparing, listing, and shipping items; evaluating electronic equipment; and mentoring new associates.
Principal Duties- Feed books and media items onto a commercial conveyor belt system.
- Accurately photograph and list items, noting damage.
- Determine merchandise value based on quality, trends, brands, and price guides.
- Move materials throughout the warehouse to support shipping and transportation.
- Properly dispose of data‑bearing devices following procedures.
- Organize and maintain inventory by stocking and stowing listed products.
- Analyze customer inquiries related to orders, status, pricing, descriptions, inventory, and shipping.
- Pack, seal, label, and affix postage for shipping using tools and supplies.
- Utilize shipping software accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with training and mentoring associates.
- Maintain a production environment with positive teamwork, safety, and efficiencies.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, following safety procedures and using PPE.
- Meet or exceed daily productivity goals through efficient handling of products.
- Safely operate pallet jack (forklift experience a plus) and follow safety guidelines.
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Computer skills with functional knowledge of word processing and email/internet software.
- Forklift certification, if required at site.
- Ability to function independently in a work setting.
- Operate equipment and/or machinery safely and responsibly.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, Kaizen guidelines, safety, and security regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
- Contribute to the Goodwill Mission as a productive and collaborative team member.
- Accurately track personal production as directed.
- Stand and/or walk for the duration of work time (10 hours).
- Bend and reach to work with merchandise.
- Lift, push, or pull a maximum of 75 pounds.
- Operate material‑handling equipment with manual dexterity.
- Inspect, sort, and grasp materials manually.
- Observe merchandise with visual detail and jeweler loops.
- Work independently.
