What You Will ContributeAs a hands‑on leader, you will guide a team in assembling high‑quality products, shaping processes, and ensuring excellence in safety, quality, delivery, and cost within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Job Duties- Coordinate day‑to‑day operations by leading and directing employees to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads and staff to meet production schedules.
- Read and follow specifications and other instructions to build, assemble products, examine completed work for defects, and verify conformance to work orders.
- Provide a thorough technical understanding of production and assembly practices.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment, following prescribed safety procedures.
- Act as liaison and point of contact for general assembly and quality control questions.
- Train new employees and instruct existing employees on the proper use of equipment and tools.
- Communicate effectively with managers, planning, and customer service.
- Provide input to improve assembly processes with a focus on safety, quality, on‑time delivery, and cost.
- High school degree or GED required.
- Five or more years of experience in assembly and leadership desired.
- Experience in a Lean environment preferred.
- Experience with electronic assembly required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read prints and measure parts while maintaining a customer‑focused mentality.
- Ability to work extended hours and occasional weekend shifts as needed.
- Collaboration – work collaboratively with others across the organization to achieve shared objectives.
- Communication – convey information clearly and concisely to individuals or groups.
- Initiating Action – take prompt action to accomplish work goals and go beyond what is required.
- Work Standards – set high standards of performance for self and others, assuming responsibility and accountability for completing assignments.
- Work performed in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and complete an audiogram test.
- Vision, color vision, and depth perception tests required for aerospace department.
- Good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina required.
- Must wear personal protective gear most of the day.
