On-Call Food Service Worker

As a Food Service Worker (On Call), you'll help implement food services in a Head Start/Early Head Start Program serving children ages 0-5. Your responsibilities include preparing USDA-approved meals, maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen, and managing food stocks and records.

• Assist in preparing the menu.
• Deliver food to classrooms and handle dirty dishes.
• Clean dishes and equipment using sanitary procedures.
• Check food deliveries for accuracy and quality.
• Store food and supplies properly, label, and use FIFO inventory method.
• Monitor food and refrigerator/freezer temperatures.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen materials and supplies.

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Serv Safe certification preferred.
• Physical exam and background checks required.

This position pays up to $15.50 per hour.
