Your ImpactThe Telecom Customer Premise Technician – Level IV is responsible for detailed installation, integration, and testing of customer premise fiber systems and routers with minimal supervision.
Core Responsibilities- Master installation skills and testing per Telco Standards, performing all Level IV duties with high competence and accuracy.
- Perform comprehensive equipment installation across a wide variety of fiber systems, including system testing and integration.
- Maintain knowledge of transport equipment such as Ciena, Fujitsu, Cisco, Nortel, Nokia, Dell, Juniper, etc.
- Apply deep understanding of fiber installation standards and procedures.
- Read and follow Method of Procedures, order specifications, floor plans, equipment, and wiring documentation.
- Ensure accuracy of all documentation as required.
- Interface with customers, vendors, and company employees to complete testing and turn‑up of equipment.
- Review subordinate time and expense documentation for accuracy.
- Comply with system update requirements of all company/customer installation documents.
- Resolve project‑related issues using defined processes.
- Generate MOPs, high‑risk activity reports, work schedules, test records, and completion reports.
- Conduct in‑process and final quality audits to meet or exceed industry and/or customer standards.
- Physically place, remove, or modify working and non‑working equipment.
- Install cable trays and/or racking per drawings and engineering documents.
- Install telecom equipment cabinets, frames, data servers, switches, routers, repeaters, bridges, gateways, multiplexers, transceivers, firewalls, and other equipment as required.
- Identify, label, measure, terminate, and route cables supplying AC/DC power or transmitting data.
- Conduct performance testing of hardware and software; determine efficiency, reliability, and compatibility.
- Perform test and turn‑up, integration activities, and resolve technical issues.
- Validate quality of in‑process and completed work.
- Perform other duties as requested.
- Minimum 5+ years of installation experience or equivalent combination of experience and training.
- High school diploma with two years technical school or equivalent training related to telecommunications field installations.
- Prior leadership experience required;
Verizon installation experience is a plus. - Strong laptop computer skills and application proficiency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre‑employment background checks; must be insurable.
- Ability to understand and apply company/customer policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Travel is required within your home region using a company vehicle; overnight stays may be required—expenses are 100% paid by the employer.
- Must be able to vertically lift 50 lbs; stand, walk, climb ladders, and crawl in tight spaces.

Compensation & BenefitsBase Pay Range: $62,000 – $72,000 USD.
Employees may be eligible for performance and referral bonuses, production incentives, tool/equipment and fuel stipends, company vehicle, per diem or other applicable compensation.
