We are seeking an experienced Senior Front End Developer to support the Air Force to help in developing and operating modernized applications that are used daily by the warfighter. This is an exciting new initiative where the Air Force is mirroring Silicon Valley processes and capabilities to quickly deploy new capabilities. Candidates must be passionate, energized, and excited to work on modern architectures and solve challenging problems for our clients.

• Design and build modern, responsive user interfaces (e.g., React, Angular, or similar frameworks) for the team’s web application - the primary interface through which users browse, search, and inspect software artifacts (container images, scan results, SBOMs, attestations) within Iron Bank.
• Lead front-end architecture and component design decisions, establishing patterns and conventions that keep the UI maintainable and consistent as new features are added.
• Integrate the front end with the team’s Go-based microservice APIs, working closely with backend engineers to define and refine API contracts.
• Ensure the application meets federal accessibility (Section 508/WCAG) and usability standards.
• Participate in the team’s CI/CD pipeline for building, testing, and deploying front-end code, coordinating with the Dev Sec Ops  engineers who own the underlying pipeline and infrastructure.
• Own assigned front-end tasking independently - translate well-articulated requirements and designs into working, tested UI - with oversight and guidance available from leadership as needed, and provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
• Participate in agile delivery (sprint planning, design reviews, code reviews) with the broader web development team.

• 8+ years of professional front-end development experience, including hands-on design and delivery of production web applications.
• Strong experience with a modern JavaScript/Type Script framework (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue).
• Experience integrating front-end applications with RESTful or similar APIs, including collaborating with backend teams on API design.
• Strong HTML/CSS skills and experience building responsive, accessible user interfaces (Section 508/WCAG).
• Experience with front-end build tooling and testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress, or similar).
• Experience working within CI/CD pipelines for front-end code delivery.
