Health Fitness is looking for certified Basketball Officials to join the recreation team at our corporate client site located in Racine, Wisconsin (WI). Responsible for officiating recreational leagues on a seasonal basis.

• Officiate basketball games and instruct players on the rules of the game as necessary.
• Referee two consecutive one hour games, one or more nights per week.
• Reports any problems with games and/or players to the site Management.
• Officiate the recreational games while keeping a professional playing atmosphere.
• Be punctual and professional in the fulfillment of the responsibilities.
• Exercise authority in an impartial, firm, and controlled manner.
• Dress neatly and appropriately for each shift.
• Discipline participants utilizing facility agreed on standards to address disruptive or unsafe behavior.
• Other duties as needed/assigned.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Adult CPR/AED/first aid certification from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, National Safety Council, or American Safety & Health Institute required within 30 days of hire.
• Must be a certified basketball official through the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA).
• Strong verbal communication skills with both children and adults.
• Knowledge of standard rules of play of the game being played.
• Active listening skills and ability to relate to and provide excellent customer service to participants and spectators.
• Ability to work independently, problem solve, and make decisions with limited supervision.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability make quick decisions, possess mature judgment, and sound decision-making.
• Professional, reliable, and people friendly.
• Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.

Compensation: $28 - $32/game. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications.
